January 17, 2026 — School Climate Action Plan workshop A Climate Action Plan workshop under the Bengaluru Climate Action Clubs (BCAC) was held at the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) head office on Jan 17. Facilitated by Sreeja Iyer and Sumati Vinay from Sparkling Mindz School, the session brought together 13 clubs from schools and colleges across Bengaluru. Students worked in theme-based teams—water, waste, energy, and greening—using audit data to assess school resilience and propose local solutions through the Wizets design-thinking platform. They emphasized collaboration, recognizing how school-level actions can spark wider city movements through campaigns and petitions. GBA Special Commissioner Shri Ramachandran IAS addressed the students, urging more institutions to join BCAC. By the end, nine clubs had created and uploaded their school climate action plans to the BCAC portal.
